graduate of both the University of South Florida with
a degree in Finance, and Florida State University, Mr.
McElveen has spent the last 18 years in the appraisal
field. For four years he was associated with Warren
Hunnicutt, Jr., Inc., as an associate appraiser and,
later, as Vice President of the St. Petersburg firm.
His work experience encompassed the valuation of commercial
real estate with emphasis in apartments, lodging facilities,
golf courses and retail centers, as well as project
planning and staffing and strategic planning.
In
1986, he founded UEI and has since gained special expertise
in the valuation and evaluation of unique property types,
contaminated properties, access studies, linkages, partial
interest studies, highest and best use studies, mobile
home park unreasonable rent studies and supply and demand
studies for various property types including industrial
parks, service stations, residential developments and
office buildings.
Mr.
McElveen has qualified as an expert witness in most
major jurisdictional areas in the State |
of
Florida. He has also qualified as an expert witness
in Federal Bankruptcy Court in Middle and Lower Districts
and in Federal Court, and has been cited as an expert
in valuation from the Second District Court of Appeals.
Mr. McElveen has co-authored several articles in professional
publications on a variety of specialized subjects, in
addition to giving lectures and presentations to his
peers.
He
is a member of the American Real Estate Society, American
Real Estate and Urban Economics Association and the
Appraisal Institute. He is a licensed Florida Real Estate
Broker and State Certified Real Estate Appraiser (No.
