Steven J. Beauchamp is a Partner in Urban Economic Advisors, a real estate business that provides consulting, construction management, development services, asset and property management, workouts and receiverships, mortgage finance and real estate transactional advisory services.


Mr. Beauchamp is also a partner in several real estate companies that provide commercial and residential development and construction services including: business and marketing plans, project underwriting, strategic planning, managing the entitlement and permit process, managing Community Development Districts, land and vertical development and construction with offices in Fort Lauderdale and Jacksonville, Florida. These services compliment the business activities of Urban Economics Incorporated.


During his career, Mr. Beauchamp has performed consulting and transaction advisory services on $15 billion worth of real estate including office, retail, hotel, industrial, residential condominium and rental apartments, residential subdivision and master-planned developments. He has brokered over $200 million dollars worth of real estate, secured debt financing for $500 million dollars worth of commercial real estate, and raised more than $1.3 billion of capital for the joint venture development of 30 residential mixed-use master-planned communities and for the acquisition programs of 23 million square feet of commercial and industrial properties.



He has been an officer of companies that included the following major shareholders: Marsh & McLennan Companies, Lehman Brothers, AEGON USA, Hillier Parker May & Rowden (United Kingdom), Baring Brothers & Company, Ltd. (Europe), Knight Frank (Europe), Les Societies Bourdais (France), Warburg Pincus, Archon Group, Fuller Peiser (Australia) and Horwath International (worldwide). Within 25 states and 9 countries, he has worked with corporate America, Wall Street, institutional lenders, pension funds, foundations, the World Bank, foreign entities, developers, REITs, and high net worth private investors.



Mr. Beauchamp holds a Bachelor of Art in Economics from Albion College, Albion, Michigan and is a member of the Omicron Delta Epsilon Honor Society in Economics. He also holds designations from the American Society of Real Estate Counselors (CRE), is a Fellow of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (FRICS), and a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI). He also holds the Florida Mortgage Broker License and Florida Real Estate Broker License.



Mr. Beauchamp has also served as an expert witness in Federal Bankruptcy Courts within Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, Lee, and Hillsborough Counties, Florida, as well as Arkansas and California and an served as an expert witness in Circuit Courts within Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach Counties, Florida. He is also a former Special Master of real estate tax appeals for Palm Beach County, Florida.
